Hi all,
i have configured mirroring with three instance(principle,mirroring,witness)in single system and configured succesfully.can u please let me know how to check high availability.

I guess you are trying this in testing environment.
See what happens when you make DB offline,Stop the instances services . Does it failover automatically or not?

(you are right sodeep it is a test environment)i stopped the service of principle. but failover not happend

sodeep, actually after stopping the service of principle this message is been displayed "mirror,disconnected/recovery " at the mirrored database.so, can u please tell me where iam missing.

Hi,

1) Do u have three instances ina single server for testing DB Mirroring ?
2) Run the below query in the winess server

select * from sys.database_mirroring_witnesses
