Well, let's see... There's cost, performance, scalability, usability, hardware requirements, support available, intrinsic knowledge of the staff, locally available resources, etc., etc.You've asked an incredibly broad question to which there is no definitive answer. In fact, the pros and cons are dependent upon the use to which you want to put it. It's like asking "What computer should I buy?" The real answer is "It depends. What do you want to do with it." I would suggest you start doing some searches here on SQLTeam, on Google, Microsoft's web site, Oracle's web site (they're both sure to have articles telling you why they are better than the competition), etc., etc. |
