I have a strange problem. I have SQL Server 2008 Express with tools installed with a named instance of SQLEXPRESS. I have not been able to get computers to connect to my DB even though I have TCP enabled. I think it is a firewall issue but disabling the firewall did not help. My thought was to unistall. However, the rules check fails each time on the need for a reboot. It does not matter how many times I reboot this check always fails. I cannot add/repair/or uninstall. Google has been no help to me on this. Any ideas?Chris |

Rule "Restart Computer" failed. A computer restart is required. You must restart this computer before installing SQL Server. This is on the setup support rules screen. |
