If you want that site changed you'd do better to send it their webmaster. |

<disclaimer>I am not the one who posted this question to AskSQLTeam.</disclaimer>In fairness to mc, the article which he is referring to on 4guys is one of the series which they do (did?) called "Stump the SQL Guru". The link at the bottom of the page for submitting a question does go to http://www.sqlteam.com/AskUs.asp, and from my limited knowledge of the history of this site http://www.sqlteam.com/item.asp?ItemID=4592 that series was part of what turned into this site.As for why mc did not notice the difference in the color schemes of the two sites and realize that this is a different site, well....I can't even speculate about that.In any case, the topic of that article (and of mc's suggested link) have much more to do with SQL Server than with any of the other topics which are usually covered at 4guys, and as such (IMO) is useful for readers of this site.Specifically the article is about how to configure settings for case sensitivity on columns in SQL Server. The link which mc recommended gives useful advice on how this can be done in SQL Server 2000, as well as a workaround for SQL Server 7. I recommend it if you are trying to figure out how to implement a case sensitive sort on a column. |
