Hi, I was just wondering if there is an easy way to compare data from two separate sql ser 2005 dbs and let me know when there is a difference.. i have tried a few simple queries but just wanted to see if there is any code in vb already out there just waiting to be used. If not, can I write a query and make it automated as I ingest data? What would the query look like for an example... thanks for your help s |

To automate it, just use transactional replication. No queries needed as replication handles everything.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/Database maintenance routines:http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/archive/2004/07/02/1705.aspx |

Download the free program SQL Server Compare from Yes Software (Google it and you'll find it easily). I use it all the time to compare db's between development and production. |
