I am taking over a website ( I am the full-time webmaster) and the former webmaster who was a temp still has access to the site. After a couple weeks on the job, we started having an issue with 2 of the tables ( news & calendar) in the sql server 2000 database. These tables have text that populates the homepage. A weird web url is appearing in 4 of the fields of the news table and 2 of the fields in the calendar table. It is delteing the content in one the pagetext field and it is placed iteself at the end of the url fields. I am forced to keep restoring the db to a past date. It has happend twice. It seems too coincidental. Do you think this is spyware or sabotage!

could be both

seriously though... change all passwords. that will eliminate sabotage.
run a virus scan, spyware scan, etc... that should hopefully take care of spyware.

Is there any chance you're getting hit with SQL injection?
