I am taking over a website ( I am the full-time webmaster) and the former webmaster who was a temp still has access to the site. After a couple weeks on the job, we started having an issue with 2 of the tables ( news & calendar) in the sql server 2000 database. These tables have text that populates the homepage. A weird web url is appearing in 4 of the fields of the news table and 2 of the fields in the calendar table. It is delteing the content in one the pagetext field and it is placed iteself at the end of the url fields. I am forced to keep restoring the db to a past date. It has happend twice. It seems too coincidental. Do you think this is spyware or sabotage! |

could be both seriously though... change all passwords. that will eliminate sabotage.run a virus scan, spyware scan, etc... that should hopefully take care of spyware._______________________________________________Causing trouble since 1980blog: http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/mladenpSSMS Add-in that does a few things: www.ssmstoolspack.com |
