Hi guys i have set up 3 servers principal, mirrored and witness i took a backup of the principal database and recover it on the mirror server. for 30 minutes or so it said "Recovering..." next to the mirrored database and would not let me access it. Now it has changed to say "In recovery" it has been like this for a while too. Is this the natural recovery process? will it come back on line or do i have to do something to the database to make it usable.
Many thanks in advance
Lee

You can't access mirrored db unless switch it to principal role.

it's not in a mirrored role yet. When i configure security for the mirroring works fine, but when i click the start mirroring button the following message appears:
The server network address "joe bbloggs" can not be reached or does not exist. Check the network address name and that the ports for the local and remote endpoints are operational SQL Serever error 1418
Thanks

It's different issue, ensure those servers can talk to each other.
