Hi sql expert,

Is it possible to convert a microsoft access mdb to microsoft sql mdf?

No it's not possible, you need to use DTS or SSIS to migrate data from Access to SQL Server.

If you're using 2000 check the Upsizing wizard in Access 2000

By Ms Sql server 2005 u can convert .mdb to .mdf

1) create blank database

2) Right clik to blank database Go to Task and select Import

then wizard will explain to get the data from .MDB to .MDF

All that will get you is the tables and the data, and maybe a primary key. Or am I missing something?

Indexes? Foreign Keys? Constraints?

I can't see IMPORT pulling those from Access, that is what the Upsize Wizard is for
