I've seen it all now ...

http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=91156

I wonder what happens when a moderator goes to move a thread and gets the message "Thread already moved by Almighty SQL Goddess"?

Well, I thought it was amusing anyway!!

LMAO. The first and second one do show the team that I am supporting though.

EDIT: I had to change from first and third to first and second since Kristen switched the order of the pics.

I've been moderator-sniped a few times by Mladen, but I've always just deleted my reply.

I've got way too many posts here that I don't need the sniped ones too!

Hmmm, I had tested it before and my count dropped. But it's been a very long time since I tested it. Perhaps it has changed.

You guys would've gone crazy when I arrived at my pool (billiards) league one Monday last season and the Charger girls were there for a huge meeting. We had to wait an extra hour to even start our league before they finally left. There must've been about 100 people in there with most of them being the girls.

I play in APA. Here's the local chapter: http://www.sdapa.com/index.html

I'm currently on 2 teams (one for 8-ball, one for 9-ball).

8-ball skill levels go from 2-7 and 9-ball skill levels go from 1-9. I'm a skill level 5 in 8-ball and skill level 6 in 9-ball. The higher the number, the better you are. To get perspective, an average male will be skill level 4 in both formats and an average female will be skill level 3 in both formats.

I used to be in a pool league, and played snooker (great game) in England as a child. Haven't played as much recently but I won a few tournaments in my time, very fun.

"I arrived at my pool (billiards) league"

Why "billiards" in brackets? You lot don't call "pool" "billiards" do you?

Over here Billiards is played with two white balls and one red ball ... points for a canon (your white ball touches the other two) and "in-off" - hit other ball and then go into a pocket.

IIRC the general idea was to get all three balls nestled up tight together, and then you could just keep nudging for more canons ...

Ah ... that-was-the-misspent-youth-that-was!

Now that sounds more like bar-billiards. The table with 4 holes in the middle, arranged in a diamond shape, but with a "mushroom" in front of each. Knock a mushroom over and you lose your points. You hit the balls from behind the base line - and obviously you can canon any that are already up the table. The ones that go into the holes score points, and roll back under the table to where you are shooting from. There's on red ball and you get extra points for that.

Points-mean-prizes!!

No playstations back in those days ...
