Hello

SQL 2005 x64. Windows 2003. Two nodes. When trying to install I'm showing an error for only one node in ASP.net registration with IIS. But it appears that both nodes have exactly the same software. I am not installing reporting services, therefore, I don't need IIS installed and IIS is not on either node. Strange. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you getting this issues while trying installing reporting Services?
if so check whether IIS is configured properly, It is not easy to troubleshoot cluster issues if you have an exception thrown

On which step did you get error? Have detailed error message?

That's ok if you don't install RS.

Update: I actually installed IIS and all of these warnings went away. However, my install problems didn't go away. There's nothing in the summary log, but the install still fails. I'm investigating these errors, but I have no idea if they are the cause:

"Error: Action "OpenPipeAction" failed during execution."

"Cancelling setup due to failure on remote machine: 128
Breaking wait state and aborting package due to cancel code received: 128
Remote setup(s) are ready
Notify package action is determined: 128
Error Code: 0x800700e9 (233)
Windows Error Text: No process is on the other end of the pipe."

I have a case open with microsoft. There may be something wacked with the cluster.

Did you get any solution of the problem from Microsoft?
I have the same problem I a two nodes cluster

Ensure you logon windows with account that has proper permission.
