I'd like to take a moment to welcome our three new moderators:

tkizer (Tara)
jsmith8858 (Jeff)
spirit1 (Mladen)

They've agreed to help out cleaning up spam, keeping posts in the right forums and rooting out evil. Well, maybe not that last bit. Hopefully with more people helping out we'll be a little quick resolving problems.

Each of these three has been a regular on the forums and posts regularly. They have a good feel for the character and tenor of the forums (which is a fancy way of saying they're used to all you whackos!). They all seem to have a pretty level head and thick skin which is definitely a requirement for the job.

And I'd like to especially thank these three for helping out. I really, really appreciate all the work you're going to do.

Congrats, to all three of you !! (although I miss Kristen in that list)

Hopefully, now we will have much cleaner (spam-free) environment and unfortunately, that means less chance for increasing post count by shouting SPAM !

I would be crap at that job. It always amazes me how good moderators are able to defuse and deflect. Me? I'd be there with a petrol can and lighted match!

However, I'm happy to help, if I can, with any other sorts of jobs ... still haven't looked into how easy it is to add the MOD for "report this post" ... I've now put a red circle round it on my ToDo list though ...

Many thanks to the three of you - presumably standing innocently around when Graz handed out the three short straws?

Don't think the site needs much moderation, does it?

Spreading the load, and different time zones, would ease the burden for sure.
