i can't tell where the server is located. I was just making a joke about the effed up history of DST in indiana. It's close to my heart because in our system we need to be able to go from UTC to local time correctly in every county of the US, for times starting in the year 2000 onwards. Indiana is a giant PITA in this respect.

yes, I am aware of that, and it was a much needed change. Unfortunately we need to be able to convert dates in the past as well, and you can't change the past, so indiana will forever be a PITA for me
