| He designed the shelby daytona coupe too - which is one of the most distinctive looking race cars ever made (all 5 or 6 of them that is).well, since these things come in threes there is going to be somebody else. Paul Hogan maybe? -ec |

He didn't design it - it was another P Brock that Mr Shelby got to design it. Amazing how lazy journo's are sometimes - I've seen this on other news outlets. Jacko?? You lot seem to remember him more than we do.....Norman Gunston is not around anymore but his creator/alter ego still is. Amazed you guys know who he was - sort of an earlier version of Ali G.... |

| Tim is right. P Brock (American) designed it, P Brock (Australia) drove it.He was a childhood icon of mine.I remember sitting in front of the TV with my old man watching the Bathust 1000. He was an incredible driver. It was the golden era of the Ford/Holden battles..Maybe it is Karma, but the good people seem to die doing what they love. | I was at the last Sandown 500 that he raced. The atmosphere was fantastic. The guy got applause and cheers each time he went down the main straight. |
