They were going for the "bad horror movie" vibe when they stuck with the title; the title itself has generated huge publicity for the movie. As I type this, in downtown Boston, out my offic window I can see a plane flying a banner that reads: "Snakes + Planes = In Theatres Friday Aug 18th" .
