Sebastiaan writes "Hi there,

I'm trying to create an MYSQL database through ODBC and this would not work for some reason.
Everytime I am greating a database it returns the following error:

Connection failed:
SQLstate: '01000'
SQL Server Error: 54
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Named Pipes] ConnectionOpen (connect()).
Connection faile:
SQL Stat: '08001'
SQL Server Error: 17
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Named Pipes] SQL Server does not exist or acces denied.

It is a reallye iritating thing because I want this to work somehow.
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
And how I'm supposed to get an MYSQL database working.

I hope I hear soon from you."

hi Sebastiaan,
you said my sql ? but your error Message is MS SQL,
try changing your protocol to TCP/IP instead of named pipes, and see what happens
