MS Access often defers to SQL Server, because SQL Server is much more powerful than Access. |

You can access sql server from access using link tables. OTOH you can access access database from mssql server using openQuery. You can also use dts to access access db and even ssis which are both etl tools shipped with last two versions of sql server.Another difference is that sql server sql is not the same as access sql.Finally, I am quite sure sql server is server but I am not sure about access.Hope it helps. |
