SQL Server Service Pack 4 fixes this problem. Be sure to backup all your system databases, and run DBCC CHECKDB against all databases before applying the service pack.

how does the Ask SQLTEeam thing work? does the submitter get email that there are replies?

I think I could probably help her with this problem if she is able to give me a little more information.

I vote that Jackie replace the graphics card with another vendor and retest to see if the problem persists. If it does, then it's probably not the graphics card/driver.

My next suspicion would be (sadly) memory chips or perhaps one of the busses has a loose line. These problems are better addressed by swapping out the motherboard.
