Hey... the forum title is "Other topics!" I've got an expensive machine and a piece of the foam mold ripped off. Many adhesives are acetone based and will disolve the material. Does anyone have any real experience (versus theory) of an adhesive that works well to repair a rubbery foam material? |

I'd probably goto your local craft store and ask those people. Bring in a sample of the material in question. They have pretty much every kind of glue there is usually.Michael<Yoda>Use the Search page you must. Find the answer you will.</Yoda> |

Well, I have a ironic/sarcastic kind of humor...I always forget that it often doesn't do well on forums such as these...At the moment we have like 5 hours of sunshine a day, if it doesn't rain or snow...But I really do sympathize with you Sam, I find it extremely frustrating when you havesome thing you value/like/need and it semi-breaks in a way that is "unfixable" and reallyirritating. I mean, sometimes it is better if it completely falls apart and you can replace it.I have fixed my last 3 digital cameras with scotch tape...(I never learn to not let the kids use them ).And it bugs me terribly... 3 ... semi-broken ... Aaaarghhhhhh. So what is it,part of sailing boat ?rockmoose |

Probably some PVA glue would do it, but it's not going to hold it together very strongly. Some Jet glue would hold like crazy (do not get on hands!!!!), but probably dissolve it :(Michael<Yoda>Use the Search page you must. Find the answer you will.</Yoda> |

or you can use some really small pins, tuck them inside the rubber(no chemicals involved) --------------------keeping it simple... |
