I've got 3 laptops on a wireless net with a common workgroup defined.

One laptop sees the other two and the other two have problems.

"View workgroup computers" returns the error "Workgroupname is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource." and "No more connections can be made to this rmeote computer at this time." and "The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available".

This stuff drives me nuts.

What OS?

Also They must be on the same subnet to see each other properly.

Ie 255.255.0.0 will see one on 255.255.255.0 but not nessisarly vise versa.

You can e-mail me direct if you want to sam

Laptops are XP SP2, Wireless G.

IPCONFIG /ALL returns all the correct stuff for all 3 notebooks.

I can't ping vaio3 from vaio1 or vaio2

Vaio3 has no trouble surfing the net however.

Removed and reinstalled the wireless driver with no effect.

Found it. It's "Norton Internet Security" that came installed on the new laptop.

Avast ye maties! Abandon ship !
