Im trying simply to update a row that meets the conditions of my inner joins, here it is:

update subscriptions
set plan_id = 007
from subscriptions s, dial_in_services dis, usernames u
where s.subscription_id = dis.subscription_id
and u.username_id = dis.username_id
and u.username = 'ycs_testme'

this won't work. I'm being told 'sql command not properley ended'.

All of the examples I've searched for follow this same format. Yet I've tried everything and still no dice.

By the way this is oracle 8i.

Thanks

Hmm, in a Transact SQL forum. You might be better asking on an Oracle site, but I'll move it to the other topics forum.

this is a long shot but will this work?

update s
set s.plan_id = 007
from subscriptions s, dial_in_services dis, usernames u
where s.subscription_id = dis.subscription_id
and u.username_id = dis.username_id
and u.username = 'ycs_testme'

Go with the flow & have fun! Else fight the flow :)

Do you need a semi-colon at the end?
