So, I recently installed Windows SharePoint Services on my laptop (running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition) and found that my Reporting Services installation was hosed. So, I searched on the internet for solutions. I did everything, including reactivating the ReportServer, changing the different Virtual Server ports, and finally installed Reporting Services SP1. Still – no go.Frustrated, I wiped my laptop clean and installed only Windows Server 2003 Enterprise, SQL Server 2000 Enterprise, Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise and Reporting Services. Still – no go! Installed Reporting Services SP1, again – no go!!The problem I am having is not with the ReportServer, per se; however I cannot access the Report Manager. When attempting to access http://localhost/Reports/, IE hangs – for over an hour! I’ve looked into IIS’s logs and found that the Application Pool was recycling at will (Connection_Abandoned_By_AppPool). I obtained and installed the ASP.NET 1.1 Hotfix Rollup, hoping that this was the answer. Yet again – no go!!!I am not the only person who has experienced this. A coworker with the same configuration is facing the same issue. If you have experience with this problem, your advice is appreciated! |
