I have installed SP1 for SQL Server 2008 R2 (x64), but I found that there is a patch KB2494088 which is released on June, and it is missed in the SP1.When I tried to install it, it failed with the error message "The version of SQL Server instance xxxxx does not match the version expected by the SQL Server update. The installed SQL Server product version is 10.51.2500.0, and the expected SQL Server version is 10.50.1600.1".Actually I have no idea about fixing the vulnerability as shown in this web site: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin/ms11-049I should not uninstall the SP1 and install this patch first, isn't it? |
