My company is considering going to a new database design, and they are looking at CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Separation) and Event Stores as the "system of truth". Although I have found several web sites touting the advantages of this design philosophy, I haven't been able to find anything online discussing real world experience and issues/problems encountered.

Does anyone have any opinions on this design philosophy, pro or con?
