Hi Guys, need quick advise on this . i've 2 parent tables (say p1,p2) and child table (c1) which may contain records for both parent tables. my question is ,is it good idea to keep two foreign keys (for both parents) in child table itself ? or in separate intermediate tables ?i mean something like..child table c1fld1 fk_p1 fk_p2ORchild_pkey fk_p1 (intermediate table 1)child_pkey fk_p2 (intermediate table 2)please note the child table contains data for 1 parent only in any row never for both. hope that makes sense and thanks for the advise.please consider reporting related issues also in your advise.Cheers |
