| SQL 2005 EntLog shipping is configured and workingHi,We have a database where the log file has been 14gb forever. a week ago it grew from 14gb to 26gb after our Great Plains consultants ran a script to implement a requested modification. The log file has not shrunk.If I understand correctly, after the transactions have been committed and after a full database backup, the next time the log is backed up the committed (inactive) transactions will automatically be cleared from the log file and the log file will shrink. I’m not sure why it hasn’t. Any ideas ... or do I misunderstand the log shrink concept?Thanks,Terry |
