I had everything working (named instance accessible using SQLCMD and Management Studio) but when activating the 'hide instance' flag (properties for TCP/IP protocol), only connection thru SQLCMD worked using the server\instance names. When using Man Studio, I got error 26 when trying to connect on server\instance name; I was forced to use IP\PORT nbr. Any idea what went wrong here? Both SQL2005 and SQL2008 reacted the same way.Geert Vanhovewww.DCOD.be |
