Hi,I have a problem with SQL Agent service on my SQL 2005 DB.I'm not a big expert in MSSQL and I'd appreciate any help someone could give me.I have installed a two-instance SQL 2005 DB in a VERITAS Cluser. I have two physical servers configured with VERITAS Cluster. The two instances should be running on the same node since I only have one shared storage for Data Files. On one of the servers all the SQL services are able to start perfectly. On the other server, the SQL Agent of one of the instances fails to start and it gives the following error message in event viewer:Even ID: 103Description:SQLServerAgent could not be started (reason: SQLServerAgent cannot start because the instance of the server (INST-2) is not the expected instance (INST-1)).The SQL Agent service of the other instances starts with no problem. It seems to me that since it only happens on one server, it has something to do with the installation on the local server and/or the registry of the server, but since I'm not familiar with MSSQL, I have no idea where to look.Could this happen if I accidentally installed the instances not in the same order on both servers? Please help me solve this.Thank you very much,Yair |
