Hi there

We have a System Center Essentials 2007 server, which was originally built using SQL Server 2005 Express Edition.

However, reporting was too limited, so we upgraded to the full SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition.

So far, so good.

Now, reporting from within the SCE console is unchanged and is still therefore limited, but I with Report Manager I believe it will be possible now to create reports, report templates, subscriptions, etc.

However, I do not know how to configure the report parameters in order to produce a report.

For example, a report I use a lot in the SCE console is the Performance report, which I use to get logical disk free space. With this report I can use the C: and/or D:, etc object per server and get useful data.

I would now like to set up this same report but this time via Report Manager, so I can create a subscription and template.

But I cannot figure out what to put in the parameter fields.

Here they are:

[Histogram]
[From]
[Start Date Offset]
[To]
[End Date Offset]
[Week Days]
[Objects]
[Aggregation]
[Start Date Base]
[Start Date Offset Type]
[End Date Base]
[End Date Offset Type]
[Time Type]
[Time Zone]

Of course, some are obvious, like [From] and [To], but as for the rest I do not know what data to enter or how it should be entered.

For example, what would I use as the [Objects] parameter if I wanted to know the logical disk free space of the D: drive of the file server?

I would be grateful if someone could advise on how to enter the parameters, or even send me a link to a site which advises on this (I haven't found one yet despite googling).

Best regards

JH
