Hi,
I am using SQL Server 2005 express with Advanced Services (for the full text search). I am trying to search a database of tickets, with two relevant columns (summary, description) in one table, and a second table with the activity logs for each ticket (so each ticket has multiple activities).
I can search each table separately with no problem, but I am trying to search both simultaneously and return one result set. My question is, how would I go about integrating the two result sets, since each full text query's ranking system is only relevant to other results from the same query? I wouldn't want, for example, a ticket with one activity mentioning the query term to appear before another ticket with the query term in both the summary (which is more like a title) and the description.
Thanks
