I've got a training video on AVI I'd like to watch on a dvd player.
I know you can buy software to convert avi to dvd but do any of you know of any free software to take the avi convert to and burn as a DVD so I can play it on a dvd player ?

Thanks

If you got some bundled software with your DVD burner then there is a chance that you have some already. I have Pinnacle InstantCD/DVD which have it, and Im pretty sure Nero does as well (the two most common DVD bundle software).

Thanks khtan that worked. And yes it was a bunch of training videos I originally made in Camtasia Studio as .avi files. I need to convert them to dvd's to send them to another site so they may be watched. Please do not question things that do not concern you.

yeah, sorry to catch you on such a humorless day. To answer your question, you might want to try checking out the info over at doom9 http://www.doom9.org/

They have guides for things like this using freely available software.
