hello,
we are looking to migrate servers.

We are looking to host with a reliable company that specializes in microsoft technologies and dedicated servers, we have been talking with a few and seem to like the ones below

www.serverintellect.com and www.ev1servers.net

But i have a few questions. How do i know how reliable a company is ?

Any pointers ???

thanks
Ehi

Ask them for customer references. If they don't give you references, keep looking. If they do give you references, call them and ask a lot of questions.

Ask to tour their facilities. Talk to their technical people and ask them a lot of questions. If they seem like dumbasses, keep looking.

Run a credit check on the hosting company. If they have financial trouble or are getting sued a lot, keep looking.

Thanks Michael,

I understand there is a rating like tier1 and CAT Rating, does anyone know about these ?

Am doing a google on this.

We have two hosts, the main one was bought over by a bigger company, and we dont think we want to go with them. Thats why i ask....

SQLTeam.com has run on www.orcsweb.com for five years now. They have great service and fantastic customer support. I highly recommend them!

what plan does sqlteam use?

At $399/month for only 200MB of SQL Server space (andd a 1 time setup fee of $199) it doesn't sound cheap...but then they talk about 100GB data transfers per month..

I must be missing something
