this is very cool if you ask me.
add this contact to your MSN

encarta@conversagent.com

then ask it questions. it's a cute little "AI" behind that answers question and if it doesn't know the answer it loads encarta.

o neat:

where is slovenia ?
Encarta® Instant Answers says:
Slovenia is located in southeastern Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula, and is bounded on the north by Austria, on the northeast by Hungary, on the southeast and south by Croatia, and on the west by Italy and the Adriatic Sea.
Let me take you to a map of Slovenia. =>

i love you
Encarta® Instant Answers says:
I love you too, Jon.
I can't show you the results since you don't have the Encarta application open. Type "Invite me" to open it.

"and now you even know where slovenia is"

of course he doesn't - the definitions failed to describe it relative to the Alamo, or any other Great Landmark!

I'm local and I'm trying to remember where the "Balkan Peninsula" is; I'm pretty OK with where Austria is, but I'm struggling with how Hungary borders it, and "Croatia" is one of those new-fangled country names that we didn't have when I did Geography - along with Herzegovina, isn't it? Or am I thinking of Slovakia?

"and on the west by Italy and the Adriatic Sea"

The Adriatic Sea is near Italy? Well I never! you learn something every day. I thought it must be one of those Iron Curtain thingies - well over to the East.

Stumped!

See? Its not on the Adriatic at all, its on the "Gulf of Venice" - which sounds altogether more posh!

Mind you, the coast is very short isn't it, I didn't realise that - MSN made it sound like Slovenia was almost an island!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slovenia altogether more helpful, as always!
