Warning impending rant!!What happened to the good old days? You know when natural selection played a big part in the gene pool and stupid people got themselves killed before they could reproduce. I just had a user leave a floppy disk in and reboot, getting of course the non-system disk error..... He could not figure out how to follow the instructions on the screen. Worse this 35 year old has a masters from IU. He has already had kids so having him castrated will serve no purpose other than the perverse enjoyment I might get out of cutting his ball off. What's even more astonishing is that he uses floppy disks still!I've got 3 flash drives, totalling 2GB. Isn't that the standard now?Tara Kizer |

I remember thinking that a 3.5" disk was a "hard disk", since it had the hard case. How could it be a floppy, like the 5 1/4" ? I had to take apart my home PC the other day to put in a new CPU fan. When I put it all back together, finally, after all these years, I decided to retire my floppy drive and took it out. It is the single part left over in my ever-evolving PC from it's original incarnation as a pentium 150mhz many years ago. Kind of made me sad. |
