Beging a Redskin's fan I wanted them both to loose :). But that was a great game!
The league quarter finals is usually the best weekend in (american) football and this past weekend was no exception.

Go Bolts! I hear LT is back, not sure about Rivers. The Patriots will be a hard team to beat, but they aren't unbeatable like they think they are.

Sorry, but we have something a little better and played faster than your version, it is called Rugby. In total (with the half-time break, it takes about 90 mins to play, not 2-3 hours due to stoppage time (like players needing to get their breath back after running 10 yards ), but you do have to pay more attention to what is happening.

NFL is a girly sport. Real men don't need headwear and shoulder padding (sounds just like Ladies Day at Ascot, 1988? :) )

Speaking of the late 80's, our school team back then played against another school that had a couple of exchange students from Fort Worth, or somewhere, who were linebackers - whatever the hell that is. Great big strapping lads, we looked forward to a good game. I remember them being in a big hurry to try Rugger for the first time, as term was over soon and it was our last game at that school.

Long story short, when they returned State-side, one of them had a dislocated Rotator Cuff. The other one left behind a 3 of his front teeth in the mud. Do please watch for those tackles, dear chaps, they can get rough. I guess a small part of Great Britain will forever be American soil...

:)

I can only assume that the reason we haven't heard anything from Brett yet is because he was at the (greenbay) game and is now nursing his Frost-bitten goodies back to health...

I'm so disappointed in the Chargers. Four touchdown attempts and all we get are field goals. How frustrating!

But Giants played ok. Well, don't need overtime if didn't make three mistakes. Anyway, W is W and they have chance in super bowl.

Reminded me of the Chargers from the early-mid 90's....I thought I saw John Carney on the field several times. ;)

Touchdown, Carney! (The guy was an awesome kicker for S.D. and about the only way the Bolts could win a game back then).

Hey, they gave the Pats a good game, give them credit. The Patriots showed why they are great -- not because they can pass the ball all over the place, but because they can adapt and become a "power rushing/defense" team if necessary. Brady had a horrible game, but the rest of the team stepped up and showed they are not just a supporting cast for the quarterback.

I think Ladanian is a bit of a wimp, I can't believe he wasn't out there. We'll find out how much he was injured eventually. Are people in SD giving him any grief over not playing? I guarantee, he'll feel fine for the pro bowl and be out there.

Also, I thought Rivers played very well and had a good gritty performance. Give him lots of credit for being out there and playing pretty well. One of the INTS wasn't his fault, the receiver should have had it.

What a great game, could've gone either way.

The commercials weren't as funny this year, which was disappointing.
