OK, so who can explain to me how our health service can have a 2 year waiting list for, say, a hip operation?How is it possible to maintain a two year queue without it either a) getting shorter [train more doctors] or b) it not getting exponentially longer [existing staff cannot cope with the volume of work]?I appreciate that some patients may die, or pay to go privately, but I don;t see that that solves the static queue length either. Well, a 70 year queue could probably be solved by patients dying  , but not a 2 year queue surely?Never understood that one ...Kristen |
