Man is it snowing out here in Jersey

I decided to work from home today, and thank god, they closed the orifice around 1....I swear it's gotta be on someone's review that they kept the damn thing open...

I'm Goin skiing tomorrow

I waited, but we only had about 2 inches of the stuff. Up here, it did not freeze over entirely until Sunday (which was when I did the front walk). Still, my back is a tad sore, as well.

We got stuffed with a foot of that crap here in south central PA on friday. They closed the capitol at 3 pm. I hate snow.

Why does it get so slippery over there? Maybe it has something to do with being able to be >70 one day and <32 the next ...

... I see the "Worlds funniest videos" or somesuch rubbish title! and cars are sliding all over the place.

Here, we have Winter during the winter - so its never "hot", but it may be "mild" and it can certainly be "cold"; whereas you guys seem to be able to get "hot" one day and "cold" the next ...

Mind you, 1/4" of snow and the whole country grinds to a halt here

It had more to do with being along the line where it switches from snow to rain. Get some snow on the ground, let a little freezing rain fall on it, and then when the temperature falls below freezing at night, you have a few inches of snow that is really just ice.

Nah, you can't beat our weather here! We're in the mid 60s right now. It was pretty hot the past couple of weeks, which doesn't usually occur in March. I'm heading to Las Vegas on Thursday. I hear its in the 80s there. I'll have to break out my summer clothes.

I forgot to mention the colorful drinks and the cases of beer?

We had about 57F (14C) that weekend.

We also have a tradition to throw a barbecue first weekend of the year as well. Don't matter if it's freezing.
The grill is lit and we put some steaks there. It's very funny when neighbours are watching us grill when the snow is falling down on us.
