Makes you wonder sometimes....

Peter Brock, probably Australia's best loved racing driver, was killed in a rally accident today.

He designed the shelby daytona coupe too - which is one of the most distinctive looking race cars ever made (all 5 or 6 of them that is).

well, since these things come in threes there is going to be somebody else. Paul Hogan maybe?

He didn't design it - it was another P Brock that Mr Shelby got to design it. Amazing how lazy journo's are sometimes - I've seen this on other news outlets.

Jacko?? You lot seem to remember him more than we do.....
Norman Gunston is not around anymore but his creator/alter ego still is. Amazed you guys know who he was - sort of an earlier version of Ali G....

that is an odd coincidence then, because that is the car that he died in.

Tim is right. P Brock (American) designed it, P Brock (Australia) drove it.

He was a childhood icon of mine.

I remember sitting in front of the TV with my old man watching the Bathust 1000. He was an incredible driver. It was the golden era of the Ford/Holden battles..

Maybe it is Karma, but the good people seem to die doing what they love.

The bad people will probably die doing there taxes or wiping there arse...

I was at the last Sandown 500 that he raced. The atmosphere was fantastic. The guy got applause and cheers each time he went down the main straight.
