No.

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/editions/enterprise/sysreqs.mspx

BTW, I googled SQL Server 2005 requirements and the first link was to this:
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/sysreqs/default.mspx

Just had to click once more to find the answer.

Always try doing a search on your own first to show that you aren't lazy.

Hi tara
i downloaded sql server 2005 enterprise edition from this link

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6931fa7f-c094-49a2-a050-2d07993566ec&DisplayLang=en&hash=3RHBV3F

This is the eval version
and i am able to install it on windows 2000.
Is this due to eval version?

I don't know. You'll probably run into lots of problems.

I just clicked on the second link in my first post. If you had clicked on that link and read the page, you would have seen this link: "SQL Server 2005 Trial Software System Requirements". That brings you to a page which shows you the requirements for the eval adition.

Please do some searching on your own for your answers.

My recommendation would be to upgrade to XP for your client and to use Developer Edition of SQL Server for the client.

Do you have an MSDN subscription? If not, then you can't just download it. You have to purchase it.
