The other day I downloaded some trial software from a software company called SSW in australia (http://www.ssw.com.au). I had never heard of them before, but I didn't think twice about it becuase so many SQL Server related products originate from small companies like this in Australia. So I downloaded and installed. The software didn't do exactly what I wanted, so I uninstalled. Fairly typical turn of events for most software evals these days.Anyway, a day or so later I get this email from the company. I fire off a quick email back to them letting them know that the software didn't work for my purposes and not to bother me about it anymore. I start thinking about this email, who attaches a picture of themselves to an email like this? This seemed a little unprofessional, Was this company for real? I had to invesigate, so I looked at the HTML source to see where the pic is linked from:<SNIP><td><img src="http://www.ssw.com.au/SSW/Employees/images/SophieBelle/Young.jpg" height="190"></td></SNIP> Let's check out that URL to see what is going on herehttp://www.ssw.com.au/SSW/Employees/images/SophieBelle/She has a bunch of other pictures there, images that you typically wouldn't have or share at work. There is also a strange little file called _Links.txt that contains this url:http://portfolios.models.com/-37560/Now things become clear. They are using images of some model from San Francisco to sell their software. Sophie Belle is undoubtedly a fictitous employee with this company. I feel so used. I was certain that Sophie and I had made a connection. She seemed so understanding, so caring. And then she goes and does something like this.  -ec |

This is not the first case. There was a certain model in california who found out she was being used on 100's of sites without her consent. She finally found out and informed all of the companies that were wrongfully using her picture.

You know what's even funnier?Well a couple of things:1) Why any PR Manager would ever pose like that ?2) Why in the hell does "everyone" have access to SophieBelle's folder?They need a new network admin that's for sure!

They are doing this on purpose. THey opened up this folder so people could peruse her other photos. This wasn't done by accident. Not only that, but the model apparently is only 15 years old. This is based upon the little "info" button on her model page.At first I thought this was kind of funny and I played around and had good time with it. But now, I am not sure what to think of this.-ec |

yes, no doubt. I'm now waiting for everyone's machine to simultaneously announce "You've been infected with the Pink Slip Virus! Im not sure why this was done on purpose? Why would you send an email to potential customers, only to have the customer find out the email was a hoax ?

LMFAO they blocked it, what pure idiots. They're going to lose a lot of customer base over something as silly as that. You know why? Once a frigging cheater ALWAYS a cheater. In their case they decieved people into using looks to attract a cheap app sale...IMHO not worth a dime! Suckers
