either the number of posts that list incomplete data increased in the last few months, or I am just crankier than usual.(Hey... I could be getting cranky and the number of incomplete posts could be going up too...)Would it help to have a "Terms of Use" page that lists Brett's "How to post a question for a database" with an "Accept" button.Probably wouldn't help. In the future, I hope computers come with a "negative stimulis" peripheral device (perhaps a mallot that hits the user on the head?). Think of the applications for computer based training, forums, web forms in general... |

"Would it help to have a "Terms of Use" page "Maybe some/all of that could be added to the "ASK SQLTeam" page?Maybe also to the NEW Topic page (that's a Snitz page, so probably a [maintenance] pain to Content Manage though)I favour a "Beginners SQL" forum that someone mentioned recently. Some sticky topics in their telling people what to do might help (I know, not everyone will read them). Also a "Useful posts" sticky topic where people can post links to particularly good answers to recurring problems. Other forums I frequent do this, and I often find answers to my numpty questions that way. (Less scatter-gun than using SEARCH )Just my $0.02Kristen |
