| how are you accessing the sql server over the internet? I am assuming you are using sql authentication.If VPN, vpn handles the encryption.If you have an exposed sql server and you are accessing it by way of a TCPIP address, no encrytion is occuring by default.Sean RoussyPlease backup all of your databases including master, msdb and model on a regular basis.
