So here we are in america, and I was having a good discussion about independence and the 4th with a buddy of mine. So I asked him, "Paul, do you even know what the 4th means, why we celebrate it?"His answer:"Who gives a rat's ass I got my beer and my bbq and that's all that matters"

| I agree with derrick. I once celebrated the summer solstice with not even the faintest idea of the significance of it. In fact the only significance to me was the we had mistimed it and got up an hour early and then by the time it happened nearly missed it as we were getting bored waiting!! There must be a lot of festivals where the significance is lost on people, some might argue that Christmas is one!steveAlright Brain, you don't like me, and I don't like you.
