I'm just coming to the end of my SQL 2012 MSCA and before going onto the MCSE would like to get a solid understanding of Kimball and designing Fact and Dimension tables. Can anyone recommend a good book to start with please?Cheers |

I think everyone would like that. :) If are just using them for cubes or something it should be pretty simple. If you are using them for something other than that, you shouldn't. Heck, even the Kimball group can't see to figure out what a Fact and Dimension are. What do they have now 30-40 different types of dimensions? Sad days indeed. |
