| What are some opinions on use of MS Visual Studio and use of Crystal Reports 11 for pulling reports off SQL Server 2008 data? (why is one better than the other?) |

| Visual Studio by itself is not a reporting tool. It has integration with Crystal Reports if you install the Crystal components.In my opinion, writing data on wet toilet paper with crayons or dried-out magic markers is better than using Crystal Reports. Reporting Services is much easier once you get the hang of it, and is vastly cheaper than Crystal.
