Hi Friends,

I came to know that permission for fixed server roles can be viewed using stored procedures

for example, to see the permission for bulk admin

we can use sp_srvrolepermission 'bulkadmin', it shows permissions like

Add member to bulkadmin

similarly, i would like to see the permission for public server role.. how to see it.. waiting for your replies..

Thanks in advance

I think that you are confusing two similar but different concepts. The sp_srvrolepermission call returns the rights that are inherent to the fixed (built-in) role; not rights that have been explicitly granted. The Public role does not have any inherent rights so there would be nothing to display.

No, no, you're not thinking, you're just being logical. -Niels Bohr
