How come MS didn't implement all this stuff so that any unskilled end-user could knock together reports - SAFELY?
We had this in SQL-based report writers that clients were using back in the 90's ...
SSRS is not a tool intended for unskilled end users. For end users you have self service BI tools like powerpivot,powerview addins for Excel. SSRS requires good knowledge on SQL as well as on VBScript functions for writing expressions inside atleast and a fair knoledge on VB.NET for custom codes.
