Hi All,

Some days back I have raised an Indent for One SQL Server 2012 Standard License. Now Tech team is coming back and telling that because your Server is "dual Quod core CPU" we need to purchase 8 SQL Server License(As Per Agreement).

Please Suggest

What would you like us to suggest? If you want to do core based licensing, you need to buy pay for 8.

Is this is applicable for SQL Server 2008 what if I purchase SQL Server 2008? Do 2008 also follow same licensing model

No, 2008, is per socket, so you would buy 2.
