SSRS Report Builder 3.0 2008 R2

What is the code that needs to be included in the Date Field that will calculate two date fields correctly.

When I query a Date Field, the date changes to the current date in the query results, therefore, my datediff column 'StatusDays', is incorrect.

I have a Date Field named 'StatusDate' and I created calculated field named 'CurrentDate', with the expression 'today()'.

I believe I have to convert using 'VARCHAR'?

Thanks,
