Forgot to mention the details. I was running a stored proc which was taking long time, so I cancelled the query couple of hours ago. It is still showing "Executing...". Tried to KILL the SPID, but not working.

If it was in the middle of a transaction, partial changes will need to be rolled back - that may be the reason. Give it some time.
